Board member

Michael has a Master of Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of London and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Educational Theatre) from the University of Adelaide Drama Department.  Michael was Director-in-Residence for the University of Adelaide Theatre Guild in 1995-96.  He has directed and performed in many productions and has a passion for both new Australian writing and the classics. His theatrical journey began with the Bunyip Children’s Theatre where he played the roles of many different animals and occasionally a human. Most recently Michael played the role of Ziggi in the Theatre Guild’s 2010 production of David Williamson’s play Influence which won the 2010 Adelaide Theatre Guide’s Curtain Call Award for Best Ensemble (Amateur).  In 2011 he directed the Theatre Guild’s sellout production of Macbeth. In his other life, Michael manages the national customer contact centre operation for a large insurance company.
