Penni has been a devotee of local community theatre since her first appearance in Noel Coward’s Hands Across the Sea for the Little Theatre in Crawford Lane in 1964

She spent many years working in Adelaide as a professional actress and almost two decades in children’s television as a close confidante of that “funny old fellow” Humphrey B. Bear.
