Audition pieces will be available prior to the audition date. Please wear comfortable clothes.
This is a fun, past paced adaptation of the classis Christmas tale. It is performed by 5 actors who play all the parts.
The part of Scrooge has already been cast. Actors provide voices for the characters portrayed by the movement performers. All actors other than Scrooge also play narrators, carol singers, debtors, spirits, etc.
Actor Two – male
Must do standard English and cockney accents.
Plays Bob Cratchit, Marley’s ghost, Young Scrooge, Little Scrooge, Peter Cratchit, Katie Cratchit, Frederick’s children
Actor Three –female
Must do standard English, cockney, Northern English and sweet spoken Irish
Plays Mrs Lack, Lavinia Bentham, Mrs Grimes, Fran, Isabella, Ghost of Christmas Present, Martha Cratchit, Frederick’s housemaid
Actor Four – Female
Must do standard English and cockney accents.
Plays Hermione Bentham, Ghost of Christmas Past , Constance, Mrs Cratchit, mother
Actor Five – male
Must do standard English, cockney, Northern English and Irish
Plays Frederick, Mr Grimes, Mr Fezziwig, George, Kate Cratchit, Abigail Cratchit, Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, Passer-by
Season: November 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23 at 8pm plus a 2pm matinee on Saturday 23rd November 2019.
Auditions: Saturday February 2nd 2019 at The ARTS Theatre, 53 Angas Street, Adelaide by appointment only.
